The Democratic "dream ticket"

I strongly feel that while Senator Obama will be the Democratic nominee, Senator Clinton has earned the first right-of-refusal on the VP slot. Yes, she has lots of baggage (lots of old, some new - like Bosnia-gate) which the GOP will exploit and re-expose to the hilt, in addition to other negatives ("Bush/Clinton" repeat ad nauseam, "old politics" etc.). But she's also a very hard-working campaigner and a great debater/excellent attack dog. And with her on the ticket, Senator McCain will effectively be fighting two Presidential nominees, even if one is in the VP slot.

Of course, the flip side is that the GOP will use her own statements - "He [McCain] will put forth his lifetime of experience. I will put forth my lifetime of experience. Sen. Obama will put forth a speech he made in 2002" - against the Democratic Presidential nominee...
